# OculiRX

> OculiRX is a provider-led, screening-grade at-home distance visual-acuity test (Software-as-a-Medical-Device) by Centaris Health Inc. A patient takes the test in a webcam browser; a licensed eye-care professional reviews and signs every result. It measures acuity for monitoring between in-office eye exams — it does not diagnose disease, perform refraction, or issue a prescription, and it is not a substitute for a comprehensive eye exam. Rx Only. Not FDA-cleared: it is a Class I, 510(k)-exempt device (product code QTO). A formal validation study is proposed and has not yet been conducted.
