Distance visual-acuity screening
Before you begin
OculiRX is a self-administered distance visual-acuity screening test. It takes a few minutes and walks you through identifying your device, confirming you are eligible, calibrating your screen, setting your viewing distance with your webcam, and reading letters one eye at a time.
This is a screening test, not a diagnosis. Your result is reviewed by a licensed eye-care provider before any decision is made. OculiRX does not prescribe glasses or contacts and does not replace a comprehensive eye exam.
You will need: a well-lit room, a working front-facing webcam, a standard plastic card (such as a credit or ID card) for screen calibration, and something opaque to cover one eye at a time.
